flowers For a VagabOnd 2012/13 ‘Desirable Darkness’ to show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Australia

“flowers For a VagabOnd” is set to present for the 1st time at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival 2012. Showing  key pieces from their Summer 12/13 collection ’Desirable Darkness’.

‘Desirable Darkness’ represents the story of human travail and triumph.  It is a journey through the depths of darkness, held together by fragile strings of hope until a new era is born.  This tale is told through pronounced graduations of colour and style.

The visual journey begins with moody black pieces that focus on tailoring.   Using intricate folds to create shape and extend proportions, the range  evolves into bright yellows, pinks, oranges and blues embellished with silk fringing, leather and hardware details.

Styled by one of the fashion industry’s most influential stylists, Kelvin Harries, the MBFWA Highlight show focuses on key trends from the 2012/13 S/S collections. The sell out show is repeated each evening at the coveted 8:30pm timeslot.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney is a consumer-driven event which promotes Australia’s fashion, retail and tourism sectors in Sydney. In its fifth year, the annual event reinforces the city as one of Asia Pacific’s major fashion capitals. Centrally located in Sydney’s CBD, the festival promotes the city’s eclectic fashion market from major department stores through to independent retail outlets.
flowers For a VagabOnd will be covering the event through various digital channels, including live instagram previews as the models walk down the catwalk.  These images will be published on the labels Facebook page and via twitter stream. Following the show customers will be able access immediate online shopping through their online store.
