Toby Maclean - flowers For a VagabOndPortrait – Toby Maclean, flowers For a VagabOnd

Toby Maclean grew up on a remote Merino Stud 60km between Walgett and Brewarrina in regional New South Wales.  This was where Toby’s love affair for fashion first bloomed.

Home schooled by his mother, a keen seamstress, and isolated from the world in the middle of Australian outback, gave Toby endless fuel for his creations from an early age.

Since graduating from East Sydney TAFE in 2006, Toby has been successfull on the global fashion stage collaborating with an international wholesaler, travelling between Europe and Asia, to design and buy high street fashion and consult with factories and fabric markets.

After extensive industry experience, sourcing inspiration from his global adventures and securing Australian and overseas manufacturers, Toby launched his own signature label ‘flowers For a VagabOnd’ in 2010 at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. Focusing on a unique style and an Avant-garde cut, flowers For a VagabOnd has been labeled ‘the one to watch’ after their 1st solo show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia.
